The helmet DOES have a strong latex/rubber smell out of the package. We left it out to air tho and it's much better now. Looks super-cool! Honestly we bought it for the helmet, so we were really glad it ended up smelling fine after a couple days.Size up! The size large fit my kid who usually wears medium (7/8). The suit is one piece plus a cape. No fancy boot covers or pop out pieces or belts, but my kid actually thought that was a plus - he tried this and the one from Costco and thought this one was easier and comfier. (Plus this one has a full helmet instead of just a mask.) Another unexpected plus is that it has a zipper instead of velcro in the back. Velcro tends to snag up the fabric on these type of costumes any time it's not perfectly covered. There is velcro on the cape, but it's easy to remove and secure separate from the suit.Hope this helps!
